Becky's Easter Egg Tutorial
1.open a new transparent 300x300 in
psp.
2.get your selection tool and chose the "elipse".
set feather to "0"
3.starting in the center of your tranparent work
area draw out an oval to your liking. this selection will stay active all the
way thru the tut...do not deselect.
4.flood fill with your favorite pastel color.
5.Optional. this would be the time to add a tube if
you want one,.. place it where you want it and then you can lower the opacity in
your layer palette if you want to. then merge down. Do not worry about anything
hanging outside of selection.
6. add a new raster layer.
7. put your foreground to white.
8. get your air brush and put your settings as:
size 30 hardness 50 step 35
density 67
thickness 63 rotation 0 opacity 42
blend normal rate 5.
use your air brush to make white shading near the
top and down one side of your egg...don't worry to much how it looks yet! see
mine below.
9.go to adjust> blur> gaussian
blur and set to 18.00
if you like the effect merge down if not
play with your egg till you like the look...it just takes a little practice.
here is what mine looks like so
far.
10. if you have the look you want and
have merged down..go to effects>
distortion effects> punch set at 5.
this just gives you egg a slight pooch! LOL.
11.at this point you can stop and say
finished if you wish. (optional)Or you can apply eye candy glass (in my opinion
it makes the egg look flat... I prefer flaming pear lacquer at these
settings..
12. now cut and paste your egg as a new
image..here you willl lose all the smudges on the outside of your
selection.
Now make many cause they are fun!!
Make them your own way!! hope you had fun! Becky |
