Charm set for charm bracelet...
This is to just make a simple set of charms with no tag, or bracelet included...

Materials needed:
PaintShop Pro
Several tubes of your choosing.
Choose several similar tubes for this project. I chose 4 Disney characters I colored and saved as tubes, resized them to fit the charm. Duplicate your tubes and close the originals. Resize the duplicates to fit the tiny charm... in this tut, most are between 100 and 140 pixels in height or width.
Starting with a version of the Scrappies Border Tag with Grommet...

or use the attached script to make your new tag - either way works just fine.
Make ONE bordertag - Do not change your materials selections yet.
Move the tag down toward the bottom of the canvas to give yourself a little work space at the top to make a couple of chain links.
New Layer
If you used the script to make the tag, choose these settings for your text -

Type the letter C and move it til it hooks right at the top of the grommet hole.

Apply this inner bevel to it.

Duplicate the layer with the Letter C and drag it up so that the bottom of the new C and the top of the old C overlap a little.
Duplicate the new layer and mirror the duplicate. Drag the backwards C to the left so that it overlaps the C below it and makes a complete link.

You can do this as often as you want, making a chain as long as you want.
(I'm stopping at 2 links for this tut.)
When you've made all the links you want to make, merge the visible layers.
You should have several tubes and one charm grommet open.

Here is the lazy way to put these charms together...
Open a new image, 600 X 600 - Transparent
Drag the new image over to the right by your palette bar...
Drag the charm next to it and make it the active image.
Click on the charm layer in the palette and hold.
Drag it to the canvas of your new image and drop it.

It will position your charm in the center of the new canvas.
Now, choose one of your tubes (making sure it's been resized to fit into the charm.)
Make sure it's active, click on the layer in the palette and drag it to the new canvas and drop it.
It will 'drop' in the center of the charm, like it was meant to be there.
If it doesn't quite fit, use the mover tool to adjust the position and the raster deform tool to adjust the size.
You can add an inner bevel to the tube if you want a 3D look.
Add a drop shadow to the tube using these settings.

Merge visible layers.
Move the charm to the top left or right of your canvas and hide it.
Repeat the drag and drop sequence for the next charm, using a different tube. Merge the visible layers and hide the new charm.
When you have finished all of your charms for this set, unhide them all and arrange them on the canvas so all are visible.
Each new charm should be on a separate layer.
To vary the charms you can use the raster deform tool to squeeze or stretch the sizes

This is fast and easy, a fun way to make several sets for different projects. I will share both sets in the following posts.
