Sinedots Easter Egg

This tut is so simple, you're going to laugh once you start it. But it leaves room for lots of play once you know the technique.
Supplies Needed: PSP
Dragonfly's Sinedot's II
Preset from Sally Beacham's Sinedots tutorial.
First, read her page on how to use presets if you don't remember how to use them.
Download her preset and unzip it to your Sinedots 2 plugin folder.
As per the directions, you will have to OPEN the sb_Curve1.cfg file to find the presets you want.
Set your foreground color to #c0a49f and your background to white.
(You can choose any color, but softer colors work best to create a soft gradient.)
Use the foreground-background gradient with these settings.
Style - Linear
Angle - 113
Repeats - 4
Invert - Checked
Open a new image - 600 X 600
The larger the image, the better your egg will turn out. You can resize it later.
With your Selection Tool - Ellipse - feather 0 - Anti-alias checked, draw a large ellipse from the middle of your image, so that the longest part is up and down.

(When you apply the sinedots preset to this egg, the lattice will look like it is drawn together on the sides. If you draw a horizontal ellipse and apply the preset, it will appear to be drawn together on the top and bottom.)
Floodfill with your gradient. Do not deselect.
Image > Crop to Selection.
Select None.
New raster layer
Effects > Plugins > Dragonfly > Sinedots II
Open the sb_Curve1.cfg file then select sb_LatticeSphere1 preset.
Change the color to #c0a49f (or your foreground color)
Click OK

Sinedots layer - Drop Shadow with these settings:
Horizontal and Vertical 0
Opacity 95
Blur 5
Color Black - Sometimes it works better if you choose a color from your egg. Play with the drop shadow until you get a result you like.
Select the bottom layer in your layer pallet.
Selections > Select All
Selections > Float
Selections > Defloat
Selections > Modify > Contract > 1
Image > Crop to Selection
You can lower the opacity on the bottom layer to make it semi-transparent... or not.
You can play with the layer blends of the sinedots layer for a different effect.
When you are satisfied with the look of your easter egg:
Layers > Merge visible
You can rotate the image so your egg lays on its side.
Save as a tube, export as a gif, put a background on it and save it as a gif.
Here are two examples of tags I made with the technique adding my images on layers between the background and the sinedots layer.
I hope you enjoy this quick tut as much as I enjoyed playing with it.
